Hearing news of a potential A's move to San Jose, watching Moneyball, and stumbling across some of my old A's ticket stubs from when I was a kid has me thinking of the Swingin' A's. Here's Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers, arguably the coolest moustache in baseball. I'm hoping to do more images of cool 70's and 80's ball players.

iPhone painting

This is an experiment in painting on the iPhone using the Brushes app. I bet it's much easier to work on an iPad but I kind of like that you really can't get too fussy making marks on the limited space of the iPhone. It's a nice constraint that forces you to think more about shapes and composition instead of detail.

I've been really interested in t-shirt designs lately. This was inspired by the Oakland Raiders logo, which I have always loved even though I don't like football (but I do love robots). Maybe I'll make a CafePress shop and throw some designs up there, even if I'm the only one that buys them. Stay tuned.

I've been very busy and have neglected my blog! To get the ball rolling again here are some illustrations I did years ago for some interactive media. The background, food, and animal in the second image changed depending on the user. I'll see if I can find the other elements.
